Dorothy “Dodo” Kennedy
(1922-2021)

The Wooden Floor is deeply saddened by the passing of Dorothy “Dodo” Kennedy. Affectionately known to us as Dodo, she was a very special person to our students and organization. Dodo and her husband Don were instrumental in supporting the capital campaign to build our flagship Main Street location. Dodo served for countless years as co-hostess of our Eat & Wrap event, alongside Marilyn McIntyre, to help ensure each and every student of The Wooden Floor had a gift to unwrap during the holidays. When at our campus, our students continue to gather and dance in the Kennedy studio, lovingly named in honor of her and Don’s steadfast support of our mission.
