Dance Uplifts
Your child is invited to take part in Dance Uplifts, an after-school program provided by The Wooden Floor to bring dance education into your child’s school, free of charge. Dance helps develop and foster self-esteem, communication, teamwork, and other skills necessary for success in school and in life. Plus, it’s fun and great exercise!
Teachers and administrators consistently give praise for The Wooden Floor’s Community Engagement programs:
“A boy who struggles with expressing himself came to me with a smile to say he really enjoyed dance.”
“Our students rarely have a chance to express themselves creatively and they were excited to have the freedom to express themselves.”
What should I expect?
All third and fourth graders in the after-school program have the opportunity to participate in this six-week session. Classes will be twice a week for the six weeks, and we request consistent attendance and participation. If your child takes part, ask them about what they learned, how they felt, or just observe their attitude during Dance Uplifts to see what you notice.
